Are ecoeggs antibiotic free?

We never use antibiotics to enhance performance. However, we are committed to the health and welfare of our birds and, on the rare occasions when it might be necessary, a qualified and experienced poultry veterinarian may prescribe therapeutic antibiotics to protect the birds. Only antibiotics approved by the federal government are used and and withholding periods are meticulously observed. Our responsible farming practices ensure that the eggs do not carry antibiotic resistant bacteria that may compromise human treatment. The egg industry does not use antibiotics crucial to human medicine.
