Watch our hens, live on camera

ChookCam™ HoursChookCam HoursLocal farm time is

ChookCam™ is switched off when it is too dark for the camera, but our hens are out until near dusk. During periods of very heavy rain or violent storms our hens are tucked up safe inside, they do not like bad weather anymore than we do.

ChookCam™ on Mobile Devices

The controllable player requires Flash, so on most mobile devices you will enjoy a live stream of still images.

Using ChookCam™

A limited number of people can watch the live stream at the same time, and only one person at a time can control it. Just try again later if you can't get in straight away. There is a delay of a few seconds before it responds to the controls. Just be patient, the signal has to go back and forth over a mobile connection ;-)

We love to hear what you think

We know you care about our hens, just like we do. Why not post a quick ChookCam™ comment below or on our Facebook page.

I have watched your camera many times, but lately whenever I try I get the message posted below. I am trying to access the video from this page, so the message makes no sense.

Thanks for the past views, however. I enjoyed them on occasion.

Is this chicken farm on Mars? Chickens are descended from jungle animals. They want to live in lush, varied, green landscapes, not giant mudscapes. Also, for each and every one of those bedraggled hens, a baby rooster was suffocated or ground up alive. This is awful.

This is a very good marketing idea - it makes the origins of the eggs real - the hens look like they are doing their thing
thanks for sharing chook cam
and the eggs are great

eco-eggs, is it true that your stocking rate is in fact 10,000 hens per hectare and only a handful of them get out into this filmed part?

December 18, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterGina Dow

I have just come off Choice magazine. The have stated your eggs arr NOT free range as you stock more then 1500 hens per hectare. Won't be buying your stinking eggs again.

December 23, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterMargaret Valentine

I used to by eco eggs, but then I read on their packaging they stock their hens at over 10,000 per hectare... I was paying a premium for these eggs because I thought the chooks were being treated nicer. so wrong. Just fyi ECO eggs, 10,000 per hectare is not free range... it's better than cages and barns... but not for the premium you charge for them.

Thank you for this opportunity

I've been buying your eggs for sometime only to discover the ACCC fined the company $300,000 for misleading the public that these eggs are free range. also lists ecoeggs with the lowest rating possible for free range eggs. Never again!

I am pleased to see these chooks having the freedom to run around, I have been searching for genuine free ranch eggs, in a lot of cases they say they are free range but in fact the space they have is ridiculous.
I shall now continue to buy your eggs, please keep up the standard, all animals deserve to be respected and treated in a humane manner.

Make it about what the contact person thinks. That’s why I have emphasised the you in these questions. If you do it this way you have a legitimate reason to call the contact, even if there is a lot of detail on the advertisement.

Chooks are so relaxing to watch, wish we could also hear them clucking away. People who complain of them having no grass don't know what they are talking about.
They destroy it in no time making it a dust bowl. On the other hand, if grass is available for them to eat, the yoke is then a dark yellow with more taste.
Watching them on the web cam makes me wish I could take a chair and just sit among them and relax.
I have bought your eggs whenever we need to because they are free range. Caging chooks should be outlawed.
I am sure they are happy shut safely away at night.

I checked your carton with the Cluckar app from Choice, and it advised that H&L Premium Free Range Egg Farms has previously overcrowded hens by greater than the CSIRO recommended rate of <=1500 hens/ha ( hens/acre). In the past you have been fined $AU300,000 for misleading advertising.

Thank you for looking after these hens in such good conditions! I will keep buying only your eggs.

December 30, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterChantelle

Chantelle - don't be fooled - Eco Eggs actually have a stock rate of 10,000 chooks per hectare. They are among the worst in the country.

December 30, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterGina Dow

This is great...good job :) they look so happy

January 31, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterAngela

Thank you for the ChookCam! I've really enjoyed it. I am not in Australia, but hope your hens and farms are doing well!

We have just bought Eccoeggs from Woolworths for the first time & we will support you from now on . We can buy cage eggs for 2 dollars a carton at Europa - but we avoid them & they don't seem to sell many anyway . Eggs are incredibly good value as a nutrition source - so why not pay more for them & thereby treat the animals with respect . Thank-you for your work & efforts !
