Watch our hens, live on camera
ChookCam on Mobile Devices
The controllable player requires Flash, so on most mobile devices you will enjoy a live stream of still images instead. You can also see a pre-recorded sample and some other videos in our blog here.
ChookCam Hours
Local farm time is
ChookCam is switched off when it is too dark for the camera, but our lucky hens are out until near dusk. During periods of very heavy rain or violent storms our hens are tucked up safe inside, they do not like bad weather anymore than we do.
Using ChookCam
A limited number of people can watch the live stream at the same time, and only one person at a time can control it. Just try again later if you can't get in straight away. There is a delay of a few seconds before it responds to the controls. Just be patient, the signal has to go back and forth over a mobile connection ;-)
We love to hear what you think
We know you care about our hens, just like we do. Why not post a quick ChookCam comment below or on our Facebook page.

That is just the most cutest and pleasing sight I have seen in ages – thank you for the ChookCam!
Thanks for sharing the chookcam! It looks like it’s a hot day.
What a fantastic idea! The ChookCam was an ‘instant feel-good’ for me. The chooks look very happy and healthy, which is very pleasing indeed. I will continue to buy my eggs from EcoEggs, knowing the chickens are well cared for and the eggs are tastier as a result.
Many thanks to all EcoEggs – not all companies practise what they preach, but it’s evident that you do!
I love chookcam !! Eggcellent idea...:)
What a good idea this is! It's nice to see that the chooks really are out roaming freely within a nice protected environment. We've been buying Ecoeggs for quite a while now and very much appreciate this interaction. Very innovative on your part, and much enjoyed on ours.
Fantastic idea – we love it!!! Everyone at work has been checking it out and are pleased to see that the birds have beaks and feathers!
As a buyer who feels strongly about the conditions chickens are kept, we are impressed by the efforts you are making to gather feedback and provide supporting marketing information on your products.
Great effort, my wife and I felt very good seeing the live video feed, it would seem a good idea to keep running this as many claims made by growers are frankly not believable, and proof is a very strong medium.
Great work
Love it.
Lovely to see them all outside and some even flying. Of course I always buy free range eggs.
The webcam was good to see, makes me feel a whole lot better about buying my eggs, keep up the good work, will ask my friends about the eggs they buy.
This is a fantastic idea! well done.
Thanks for setting this up! This has made my day.
That is AWESOME! Love you ChookCam.
Eggcellent!
I am so relieved that people like you exist, I loved watching your hens on the ChookCam, they look very content, and a happy egg is a good egg. I will buy your eggs from today onwards.
Love the ChookCam. Would be great if it could be added to the desktop as a gadget!
I think this is a great idea.
Love ChookCam! Cracking good idea!
I myself own chickens and i know when they are happy, they are happy hens!
Very convincing but it would we great if we knew what it looked like inside the barn!
@Milco there is a photo inside a barn in one of the galleries on our farms page.
I want what's best for your eggs - my tummy! Love the live action. Thanks
This is BRILLIANT! I buy EcoEggs anyway but this is such an outstanding way to reach out to peeps. Not only that, I just love that you Tweet bird updates and give us Hen Weather - CLASSIC!! *two thumbs up*
LOVE the ChookCam! It's great to see they are being looked after!
What a fantastic idea! As a somewhat eco-conscious city dweller and animal-lover I have always been interested in where my food is coming from and how the animals are treated, but it isn't always easy to find this information. With the confusion about free-range labelling of eggs it has been difficult to know which producers to 'trust'. I have just recently started buying EcoEggs, was very happy with the quality of the eggs, and took the time to visit your website, I'm glad I did :) ChookCam is awesome and its nice to be able to see how the animals are treated in real time. Very well it seems! Keep up the good work :)
