Watch our hens, live on camera

ChookCam is your Free Range Cam on our Free Range Hens. Not an Egg Cam, a Chook Cam! Track our chooks roaming around all day.

ChookCam™ HoursChookCam HoursLocal farm time is

ChookCam™ is switched off when it is too dark for the camera, but our hens are out until near dusk. During periods of very heavy rain or violent storms our hens are tucked up safe inside, they do not like bad weather anymore than we do.

ChookCam™ on Mobile Devices

The controllable player requires Flash, so on most mobile devices you will enjoy a live stream of still images.

Using ChookCam™

A limited number of people can watch the live stream at the same time, and only one person at a time can control it. Just try again later if you can't get in straight away. There is a delay of a few seconds before it responds to the controls. Just be patient, the signal has to go back and forth over a mobile connection ;-)

We love to hear what you think

We know you care about our hens, just like we do. Why not post a quick ChookCam™ comment below or on our Facebook page.

That is just the most cutest and pleasing sight I have seen in ages – thank you for the ChookCam!

Thanks for sharing the chookcam! It looks like it’s a hot day.

What a fantastic idea! The ChookCam was an ‘instant feel-good’ for me. The chooks look very happy and healthy, which is very pleasing indeed. I will continue to buy my eggs from EcoEggs, knowing the chickens are well cared for and the eggs are tastier as a result.

Many thanks to all EcoEggs – not all companies practise what they preach, but it’s evident that you do!

I love chookcam !! Eggcellent idea...:)

What a good idea this is! It's nice to see that the chooks really are out roaming freely within a nice protected environment. We've been buying Ecoeggs for quite a while now and very much appreciate this interaction. Very innovative on your part, and much enjoyed on ours.

Fantastic idea – we love it!!! Everyone at work has been checking it out and are pleased to see that the birds have beaks and feathers!

As a buyer who feels strongly about the conditions chickens are kept, we are impressed by the efforts you are making to gather feedback and provide supporting marketing information on your products.

Great effort, my wife and I felt very good seeing the live video feed, it would seem a good idea to keep running this as many claims made by growers are frankly not believable, and proof is a very strong medium.

Great work

Love it.

April 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterCandy

Lovely to see them all outside and some even flying. Of course I always buy free range eggs.

I am so relieved that people like you exist, I loved watching your hens on the ChookCam, they look very content, and a happy egg is a good egg. I will buy your eggs from today onwards.

May 6, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterSuzanne

LOVE the ChookCam! It's great to see they are being looked after!

May 6, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterYessica

What a fantastic idea! As a somewhat eco-conscious city dweller and animal-lover I have always been interested in where my food is coming from and how the animals are treated, but it isn't always easy to find this information. With the confusion about free-range labelling of eggs it has been difficult to know which producers to 'trust'. I have just recently started buying EcoEggs, was very happy with the quality of the eggs, and took the time to visit your website, I'm glad I did :) ChookCam is awesome and its nice to be able to see how the animals are treated in real time. Very well it seems! Keep up the good work :)

May 7, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterSelina

Owning a chicken of the same variety myself, it's nice to see the happy similarities here on the farm. Fantastic idea, looks great and the chickens are cute!

May 9, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterPatrick

Thank you for the chookcam. The availability of this service will certainly contribute to the continued support of your egg brand. Very good to see the chickens that are supplying the eggs. We all hope they are treated well from the very beginning of their life journey all the way to the very end.

May 14, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJason

Excellent idea! as a consumer i like to see where the products come from - and this has just got me sold! well done guys/gals!

May 15, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJames007

Well that was great to watch chickens roam free on ChookCam. So now I will buy your eggs at the supermarket. Nice to know my kids are not fed growth hormones.

May 16, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterLinda Keegan

This is terrific, I love it and good to see you treat your chooks well !!

May 16, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterBruce

Great stuff. Keep up the good work. I'm sure I saw one of those girls smile at the camera. Cheeky bugger. :)

May 16, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterBreeny

Excellent idea. It's always difficult to know whether "free range" is really that. This type of transparency needs to be applauded and supported. I've been buying your eggs for a while (when they are on the shelves) but seeing this has turned me into a permanent customer of yours!

May 20, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterCam

Thanks for giving us the ChookCam! It's great to be able to see the hens our eggs come from. They all look so happy. :)

May 21, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKate

YES, eggcellent! I have been buying ecoeggs for a while now and am even happier to continue to do so, great sharing, accountability and transparency.
Thanks.

May 22, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterTania

Absolutely love the ChookCam! Seeing is believing!

May 22, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterAli

Stumbled upon your site tonight by google and I'm so happy I did!

I didn't think there were too many free range chook farms in Australia, and love your care and effort. I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing your bit for both the animals and for us receivers. We live in South Australia and buy 1-2 dozen eggs a week for the family. Would love to have our own chooks as we know how much better for us the eggs would be, but do not have the space as in the city. I can't stand the idea of chickens cooped up in pens or cages to feed us and always buy free range. I shop at Coles most often but there's a Woolies close by so will now determinedly go pop in to see if they stock your brand, and start buying your eggs from now on.

I love your philosophy and delivery. But best of all I love your thought and care for the animals that continue to feed us... stay strong with your MO as more and more of us are looking for genuine thoughful and caring alternatives in the market place especially when it comes to our livestock and agriculture... our (eggs) bread and butter!

May 22, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMandy

WOW!!! This has really shown me that you guys are doing what you say you are doing. Thank you for showing me, this is AMAZING!

May 24, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterDiana Baker

Brilliant idea! Very good marketing and very re-assuring for buyers. I wish more producers were as open about their operations. Thanks.

May 24, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMark

Fantastic! Makes me feel so much better to see happy healthy chooks free to flap their wings, run around and scratch in the dirt - and the eggs taste SO much better - keep up the good work!

May 26, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterEllie

Love it!!! It would be great tool to take to schools, once kids see the happy hens they'll want Mum and Dad to buy the happy eggs and they grow up more aware of where their food comes from!

Keep ChookCam happenin' ;)

May 27, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterPixie

It's really good to see that.

May 28, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterSadia Shahid

Brilliant idea
I've bought ecoeggs for years. It's good to know that the hens can walk out the door and scratch, run around and be themselves.

May 28, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterMartin

Too funny.

May 29, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterHarry

I am very skeptical about any claims made by the corperate world. Until now verification has been impossible. ChookCam has changed all that. Now that I know for sure that the claims Ecoeggs makes about its chooks are infact true, thanks to ChookCam. I will never be buying any other brand of eggs.

May 29, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterBrook Smith

I love ChookCam! It has made me smile watching these happy hens wondering around, and it makes me feel good to know that I really am buying a good product from a reputable company.

May 30, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterGabi

This is such a good idea. Better than TV :) and I'm reassured that the chickens giving us eggs are happy and healthy. Good work EcoEggs!

June 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJen

ChookCam also encourages me to continue buying ecoeggs. Thanxalot.

June 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterGavin Moodie

This is such a wonderful application of the technology we now have available to us. I'm so glad that at least one company seems to put it's workers before it's profits. Those hens look happy and therefore I am happy! Thank you.

June 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterSophie

Thank you and such a great idea. So nice to know that the eggs are coming from a happy place. Sometimes you just don't know!

June 3, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKate

I have been buying your eggs for years. Keep up the good example of how hens should be treated. It shows in the colour and taste of the eggs.

June 4, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterCatherine

Restored my faith, you never know when you buy a product if the claims on the packaging are true and so glad to see that you are true and actually seeing that the chickens are free to range and peck on ChookCam. I have been with your product for some time and I will continue to buy eco eggs with knowledge that I am buying a genuine product, the chickens are looked after well and the eggs taste great as a result. Thanks for making a difference.
